I had a choice tonight between doing housework and going to the CSFG meeting. Friends will not be surprised to see a messy place on Friday night, when they hear that I chose the meeting. (Of course I chose the meeting! CSFG meetings are the most fun in the Southern Hemisphere. If they were held in the Northern Hemisphere they might well be the most fun there, too.)

In other news, there is no other news. It's too hot for news. Though my students' choice for word of the day (rapprochement) nearly qualifies.

That sounds especially welcome if it's hot, actually. I'm so looking forward to tasting it that I've made a list of things I must do first. (there's logic in there somewhere)
